I just got Omni Studio that came with free Logic Delta software. Very basic question...I opened a new song and created an audio track and I want to set the audio record path. However, when I bring up the set the audio record path dialog box, there is only one parameter available to modify (set maximum record time) there is no space in which to set the path name to record files to. There is no also no "R" next to the track listing that I can click on to "arm" the track. Anybody know what is going on?

I have a similar version of Logic and in that dialog box at the bottom there is an option to set the path for Global and Song. It may not be labeled that obvious so look closely. As I recall there is a triangle/arrow deal that you click to open up the browse box.

There should be a record enable button right above the mixer fader. You may have to choose an input before it will allow you to arm the track. You choose the input right above the fader also.

Try perusing the manual a bit because you will NEVER figure out Logic without it. Using Logic is a great incentive to buy Cubase SX ;)

I haven't totally got this Chinese Puzzle worked out either, but I was stumped by the same thing until I finally figured out that whatever tracks are loaded up in that default screen are given track numbers based on the inputs available on your card. On the Delta 1010, Channel One is routed to Track One, etc. When you add another audio track you click on "cha" button (located on the left side of the track in the arrange window) and then select one of the options to assign it to a physical input.

As to the path- you get that dialog box when you arm the first track for recording. When you multitrack your .wav files all get the same name with a number after it and are placed in the same directory.

If the record button disappears from the track- you messed up.
It no longer is a real track. I haven't figured out just what it is at that point! Delete that track. Then add another audio track by selecting the track above where you want it placed and go through the "add audio track" menu selection.
