Living in the dark

Hi,

My posts have been less frequent because after the ice storm we've been living in the dark. Not only did the ice take out our feed lines it took out many poles in every direction. We're hoping for power in March.

I've got wireless broadband now running on a car battery and an inverter. My daughter's laptop goes with us anwhere there's power and comes home with a charge good for 2 or 3 hours.

Thanks to my Zoom H4 I'm still writing and recording. Jazz and Country lately. What a combination.

Anyway I hope to be back full time sooner or later.

That really sucks.
It happened to me before, but the longest I was without power was 2 weeks.
It is amazing how dependent we are on electricity, and how peaceful it can be when you are forced to live without it for a while...

Hopefully your income isn't shut off for that long.
If you need drum tracks on anything in the mean time shout at me.
I can do country and jazz.

Yeah it's been a week and a half already. Fortunately my studio has power. But that's at town and I'm mostly out here. And when I'm there I'm always doing radio production which really takes the power.

At least I have plenty of time to practice acoustic guitar and marimbas.

Thanks for the offer on drums. I'll keep in touch on this.
