Live remote recording

This rock band is young and still pretty green, but they are showing some potential.

I recorded all tracks simultaneously while they played live. Most of the mics were EV n/dym’s. I also used a few Audix and Shure Betas on instruments.

I still have several songs to mix yet. Just getting started.

They just want a demo made.

Yes, they are a cover band looking for a few gigs a month in the local bars. I think they do have a few originals mixed in this set too but, I didn't get to them yet.

I sort of wanted you to critique my work, not theirs.

For a live recording this is pretty good.
Separation seems good.
Bass guitar seems a bit lack lustre.
The stereo image leans a little. Are you attempting to recreate the band on stage?
Some of the vocals are wayward - are you going to fix that?
It's a bit dry & needs something to unify the mix.
