can you add the effects so that you hear them as you are recording??

like maybe send it to an effect or something i dunno...
just hoping someone could save me a long time reading...

well i read up on it and then i just started to fiddle

of course the manual only talked about post editing in the send effects part, but it mentioned live effects in the list of ways you can monitor your activity in cubase.

Anyway, unchecking 'Direct Monitoring' in device setup allows what i would call ....direct monitoring.

Of course i have the latency as low as i can set it. And then i just add an effect with a vst send effects, and turn up it's volume in the mixer.

pretty sweet :p

now everyone that doesn't have a lot of pedals can be able to hear what wierd noises they are making while they are doing it.

This should be great for recording vocals...

IN SX, you can't add effects on input.

IN SX 2, you can..... there's an input buss on the new version.

i'm using version 1.0 built april 2002

like i said it works. pretty cool i knew it could be done but no one seems to like this feature.

I'm using 1 also. I do this all the time.

It's nice for a good laugh when you feel like wasting time. Put on a really long delay.

yeah i don't know how useful this is really...

but i am gonna do some vocals later with some of the effects.

It's cool cause i have a LOT of software and i can use any of the effects from any of the programs.

maybe something's in there that can cover up my crappy mic... got it used
