You are right, the venice won't route the same. I could do 2 stereo or 4 mono headphone mixes, and a control room mix and levels to tape though.

I hope the original poster has had all of his/her questions. I like this thread. It has really highlighted the differences good and bad between these 2 consoles. This is good since there are a lot of people actually looking at both consoles it seems.

hey guys... this has been great!!! you havent scared me away... only pushed me to my books so i can understand what you are saying in more depth. like i said i am new to this. one thing you have been talking alot about is bus... what exactly is this. i think i have some idea... but not fully. could one of you explain? this has been very informative. thanks so much for all your input!!

if you search for midas venice boards on google, this thread comes up on the first page... we must be doing something right!!! thanks again for all your help. i think i am leaning towards the midas venice. i think sound quality comes above anything, and from what i have heard on this sight, this thread, and from the rest of the world, the midas sounds a bit better than the soundcraft...
