little help for a n00b

hi all! im new to the forum here, but ive been messing around with recording on my pc with audacity for about 2 years. basically right now this is my setup: guitar->amp->20$ radio shack mic->10$ tape deck->soundcard. my current recordings dont sound terrible, but id definitely like them to sound better. this summer ill be getting a little money and would like to know what to upgrade first. my pc is already plenty fast and i have a nice amp/guitars. i was thinking about getting a nice mic and a mixer. what do you guys think i should do?

A good audio interface, condenser mic and preamp or mixer.

If you dont need many inputs this could be the sort of thing you are looking for without the need of a mixer
