I'm listening to my heart, and this is what it says:
Really nice, you have a killer good voice... always enjoy hearing it! (thump thump) Guitars sound good, nice relaxed tone and playing. (thump thump) Bass fits well on my system. (thump thump) Could use a little more drum volume. (thump thump)

Great songwriting ido, really enjoyed it! :)

Everything sounds good to me (listening on desktop stereo speakers). Good soong too.

I thought the drums were a bit buried; I'd bring them up. I like how the bass sits, like the above poster said. Everything is clear and pleasing to my ears, so good job and keep up the inspired songs.
FattMusiek - thanks for taking the time to listen to my track and comment.
Yes, I guess the drums are a bit back - I have that tendency to do that :o .
I'm glad you like the inspired songs - they're the easiest to write...... :D
Thanks Again!

Gerry,

This is a cool tune. I always enjoy listening to your songs 'coz they have substance. :) The story is cool. The singing is cool. The playing is cool. The bass is cool.

The drums.... well turn up the kick a little and the snare a little. Maybe a touch more reverb on all hats and cymbals. I know they're placeholders, but that's no reason to not try to make them a little more closer to the current pop-rock sound. :)

Hey thanks for posting them lyrics. :) I'm still also enjoying listening to "You've got what it takes".

I like the guitars where they're at. :)
Hey bigbubba - thanks for listening and the feedback. Glad you like the tune....

Cool suggestion on the drums. I can definitely work on the volume of the snare and kick independently but the reverb is over the entire kit. But I can see if I can increase it overall to see what the effect is.....

Funny, I posted the lyrics for this from my original document. I had to revise them when I realized they were missing a verse (I had written later) and were in the wrong order from what I sang them lol.....

Hey ido

Nice songwriting. Cool tune that works really well.

You always have a very "smooth" style (vox and guitars). That certainly works. But sometimes I'd love both of these to be "roughed up a bit" :D

Maybe you could go out on the turps or something and then try another version of this. Or maybe just sneer a few times while you're singing. You never know...

(I know you're a pro so can take suggestions like this without being offended :) ) I think if you went for this "roughing" your great songs could find an even bigger market.

cheers music man

Hey aspiring - thanks for listening and for the kind words....

Your "rough it up" idea is interesting - what are turps :D ?

I could try gargling with whiskey or something maybe.

Since I don't play out much anymore I could gravel up my voice for one or two songs then give it some time off to recover :D .....

I'll keep that in mind when I'm working on future recordings....

Thanks Again!

:D :) :D :)

SnakeDog - Thanks for taking the time to listen and thanks very much for the compliments.

As I relisten now I agree that the drums are a bit low.....

Glad the rest sounds good - especially bass - I am just beginning to to get a feel for the bass mix on my monitors.

Your heart is in the right place and sounds good and healthy......

Thanks Snake Man!

BTW - Looking forward to your CD release. How come so long, or is that the norm 12 weeks? Like your cool myspace page - dig the new album art. But then again he had some good inspiration. How did the Pops Show go?
Thanks for asking. Hopefully you will find out the answers in the not-too-distant future when YOU PUT OUT A CD

The mastering got behind schedule a bit, it should be done by tomorrow. There is a lot of stuff involved with a label deal, more than I thought. Hopefully we will have product in about 5 weeks, the rest is getting the distribution etc. I was done around April 20! Its a long time to wait, I wont even hear the master til early next week. :(
