Hi,
I am unable to get a good recording level with my Vortex2 Superquad (SQ2500) with Line-in selected in the Windows taskbar. I've tried different sources (mic w/Audio Buddy pre-amp, guitar amp, keyboard) and the volume is barely audible even with the levels turned up all the way. The monitoring volume is fine, though, and when I select 'mono mixer' as the recording source I get good volume. The problem is when I record a 2nd (and more) tracks with 'mono mixer', the sound card mixer records the playback for monitoring as well. BTW I am using WinXP Home and there is no option in the registry to increase the line in level. Does anyone know much about this card? I am thinking about upgrading to a Santa Cruz or an Audigy but only if this problem can't be fixed.
