I made this thread in the other part of the board but didn't get enough responses... Is this any good and what's the positives 'n negatives about it?

Please go into detail but still keep it simplified for a beginner to understand... I'm really just gettin' it cuz I wanna learn how to mix 'n I'm gonna let people record 'n try to learn how to mix......
 
well i dont have any experience with the toneport, but I use the guitarport for all my guitar and bass recording. I think they probably share some of the same amp models. I love the guitarport if that helps any.. :confused:
 
its easy and convient and it wont be as loud as micing and amp, but it just isnt the same as micing an amp and i have a ux2 but i only use it to get and extra 2 inputs with spdif and i definitely prefer micing amps. if micing amps isnt an option get this, but if you can mic amps, well then mic your amps
 
Can u be more detailed about "not loud as a mic and amp"?

ummm with the line6 you can use headphone.... so if an amp is to loud for your situation you dont need one
