Line 6 Floor Pod Plus.. a little help?

Hi all!

I'm a novice guitarist, and I'm just getting back into playing. I play a epiphone g-400 on a p.o.s. yamaha practice amp. I recieved a Line 6 Floor Pod Plus as a Christmas gift, and I have been messing with it, trying to figure it out. I was wondering if anyone has a "cheat sheet" of settings for specific sounds. I know I should be trying to make my own personal tones, but just for playing covers, it'd be nice to just set a preset and let her rip. I would appreciate any help. Thanks!

When I first got my Digitech RP-7, I found a few websites and such that folks could post their favorite patches. Should be similar for the floor pod.

Just pull up your fav. amp and mess with it til it sounds good! AFAIK there's no way to download patches onto that particular pod model, that's a bummer.. I got the XT live and it's waaay cool in that regard..

So, you want metal, blues, classical, ?? You want good live/gig patches, or a good studio/recording patches? I have totally different sets of patches for playing out and studio work.. Ie for live metal I use a plexi with ~9 on the gain, 2-3 on the overdrive, and the bass/mid/highs set about 7,5,6.. For studio I turn the gain down to about 7, and change the eq to about 4,7,5..
