line 6 delay modulator

is the line 6 delay modulator a good buy for its high price; is it worth it???
is there another cheaper option that will serve me well in live performances???
Can it be used throughout a whole song to give a nice reverb or something???
 
unlike their awful amp modelers, the delay modeler is actually a cool piece of gear. I know a lot of guys that use them live and I have worked with a lot of musicians that use them with good results in the studio.
 
I have one and would definately recommend it! All the echo you can swallow! plus the 3 possible settings to switch between comes in handy.

I use a digitech digiverb for reverb, not the DL4, It's not for that. If it's reverb you're looking for check out the digiverb or something else to that effect.

I prefer the BOSS DD20 gigadelay personally. I tried them both out extensively at GC and preferred the sound of the BOSS. I also like the looping feature better on the BOSS.
