Do either of you guys know whether the centre block of a 335 is part of the neck timber or is it a seperate block that the neck glues into? I guess this question applies to any other 335 style guitars from Gibson.

It's a separate block, and then neck is joined with a tenon joint similar to a Les Paul.

Thanks Light, that was what I thought but I've just had a guy telling me that it was all one piece, apparently he saw a diagram somewhere which showed the block as an extension of the neck .
