I did this Satch tune several months ago but I wasn't happy with the vocals and a few other things, so I re-did it with the new Ibanez JS1200Ca guitar.

I re-did the vocals too. I used a public address filter and a stereo leslie effect on the vocals which covers up my sad vocals pretty good and produced a cool effect IMO. Kind of a stereo ping pong effect going on.

The idea is that I am telling off a girlfriend in a football stadium over the stadium sound system. Don't know how I got into the stadium and got onto their loudspeakers but that's not important.

I didn't really have any ideas for a guitar solo so the solo is short, sweet and to the point.

The ending is a rip of Van Halens Jamies Cryin'. It kept popping into my head as I was doing the tune and it fit nicely so I went with it. The EVH riff is pretty nasty and raw, it came out pretty good too, IMO.

Cool man, always dug the groove Satch had on this one.
Anyway, I like how the vox turned out for you. The production is real tight too.
I'd like to hear more attack on the rhythm guitar, especially during the chorus. Like more of a change between verse and chorus. Maybe add another rhythm or EQ there for more "bite"
The louder 2:30 solo is almost too loud, but kicks. I think the rest of the lead riffs would sound good like that too. They sound a bit thin now.
Excellent recording man, just some nitpicks... the ending is sweet, and again, great production ;)

You have a great left hand there Mr DLH, sweet vibrato on your leads....

Those vocals are totally cool! If you're singing that high part then you have nothing to worry about vocally....Both parts are nicely on key.

I could use a bit more rhythm guitar in places - as mentioned.....but as also mentioned, it's just a minor mixing thing.

Your guitar playing continues to be some of the best we get to hear on this forum...... not that easy to get EVH's sound...

Good one!

:D :) :D :)

Thanks for the listen there gang.

I'll go back and mess with the parts mentioned above.

ido, I did both vocal parts, high and low.
The cool thing is the vocals sound pretty boring just dry but the PA filter and stereo leslie effect actually made it seem like I could sing. :o

The magic of effects and multi track recording is great1 :p
