I am not a bass player...though I played one on this particullar night in a mid-sized town in the Upstate of South Carolina....just filled in for a few shows while some friends looked for a permanent replacement....anyway....on the night in question, my borrowed bass amp crapped out....so the bass player from the opening band let me use his...that is it in the picture just behind me...with the 2 10" speakers....blue cones....thats the one...anyway...I LOVED the sound of this amp but I cant remember what it was. Since I just scored a Warwick Corvette Standard and a rediculous price, I have a reason to buy a bass amp....SO.......anyone know what kind of amp this is????

Is it an SWR? www.swrsound.com

I don't think so actually.

By the way, what the hell is the microphone doing in the middle of the cab? It doesn't look like its got a horn, and if it did, I sure as hell wouldn't mic that.

First post here! Hello, all.
The amp is a Traynor XS400TC.

If you're going to be spending a lot more time on bass, might want to check out Talkbass.com. TONS of good information there. Solid choice on the Corvette, and if you got a great deal, all the better. Some good news is that the Traynors really aren't that pricey, and can be an excellent deal for the quality of the sound they put out. That is a pretty odd placement for that mic, though.
