Just for fun I used my cross hand riffs. This is where I grab the neck with my right hand at about the 5th fret and and play the riffs using only my left hand.

Dude that is some serious shred! What exactly does the right hand do, just act as a capo? Doesn't sound like it  sounds like you have at least seventeen fingers going

I think you leave us hanging a little bit in the middle. It's tricky because the Yammy part falls apart there and doesn't leave much until it picks up again.

I don't have a solution there either, I'm going for the yet untackled piece . . . later tonight :D

I use my right hand just to stabilize the guitar. I hold it just tight enough to dampen the strings so they don't ring when I move from string to string. With my left hand I only use 3 fingers.

Damn ocnor!
That was really wild dude.
It was like a blind eddie (VH)

Hey xfinsterx and ocnor, how about posting something about your rec chain, processing, etc.? I'm interested in how you got the tones you did.

Beautiful F.B.

I've got a picture of Charlie Christian on my wall and I'd swear I saw him smile while you were playing.

OK now that the talented people have gone, it's up to me and apl to settle the score! Stay tuned . . .

Ok guys, I just put mine up. I played over the first demo using a jazzy approach. I used a few whole tone scales over the dominant chords, but that's about it.

here's the link:

it's the last one, titled "cheesy yamaha solo."

enjoy.
It had a very cool feel! I wanted to try one of these, but I know I'd embarrass myself. Plus in explaining what I did, I'd have to answer "I dunno"... :D

hey, yeah, very cool. Nice technique. I thought about doing a two-handed tapping thing over this, but I opted for the straight-ahead approach. Now I'm glad I did! :)

I might do it anyway, so that you guys will all sound so much better!!!! :D

I believe that things needs acronyms to give an inflated sense of importance. :D

What do you guys think about having Rumble award categories called something like:
NPM (notes per minute)
HSSF (hip swing w/sequenced figures)
CQOD (cool and quick on the draw)
LE (longest entry) ha - so far that'd be ME :p

We might need one or two more...

I can just see my HR BBS sig line now: "Winner of the coveted 2005 Guitar Rumble LE award".
