Well, when mshilarous eventually wins this competition I'll suspect that he wrote these "backgrounds" to go under the hottest solo's he's already got recorded. HA.

That's why I said:

I hereby renominate "Under Construction" at http://www.soundclick.com/bands/9/aplmusic.htm

Because, 1. I haven't soloed to it, so I'd be starting out with nothing, and B. I ain't got the chops to win anyway.

Hey, you are free to buy your own Yamaha YPP-15 and hit the "demo" button to verify the randomness of these compositions yourself :p

Cause that's what I'd do.

I didn't use any of them. It was all recorded direct with my Line 6 Spider II 15.

Enough of this silliness. I shall sting you as you beat me with that fish!

If this was a competition for "Submit Best Jamtrack" you'd be the bee in the Pixar "Cars" trailer.

I love the smell of victory. Anytime of day.

Am I the only one who can't read this thread without hearing michael buffer screaming in their head? I mean, it's kinda cool the first couple times, but by the third or fourth time you just want it to stop... but you just can't seem to stop it. eeeellllLLLLet's get ready to RUMBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLE!! *dance music starts*

No, I'm reminded of the Greatest Heavyweights game for the ol' Sega Genesis.

It'd take more than that, ms.

The fish?

Oh, and don't be too hasty. Mr. Lawler should have a solid entry, and as I stated on the Guitar board thread, I intend to demonstrate the virtues of chromaticism.

Uh-oh.

It's been quiet for over 30 seconds.

Everybody must be working on their solos.

Tim

I'm downloading the contest right now, so I'll get around to it some time this weekend. I'll have to listen to the cheesieness of the tunes before I can decide on my solo approach though! :)

Point of order! I'd like to respectfully remind the obviously very dexterous Mr. Finster that an analytical description of the solo's tonal orientation is to be weighed as part of the competition.
