My best solo so far is in "How Do I Rate".

I think it has to do with what it says when you hover over them... When I got the first one, I was a "beacon of light" or something like that...

Oh, I should add there are no rules, so feel free to loop/edit/dub/mix as you see fit. You can use any or all of them, in sequence or smashed together, but (I lied) there is one rule:

You have use at least one of them.

I would suggest that your solo be judged on how well you played over the Yamaha tunes, but that would be another rule, so I won't go there. If you want 10 secs. of Yamaha, followed by a three minute cadenza, that is your sovereign right!

Post your results here, and we will decide the winner not by a poll, but arguing.

Remember to describe your approach to the solo!


One last comment: I not only ran this threw a tewb pre (my modded ART Dual MP), I also "mastered" it using the LA2A and Pultec plugs on my UAD-1! So as this clearly sounds excellent, if your submission sucks, it's all your own fault!

Jeez, mshilarious, I was expecting something simple like the da da DA --, da da DA --, thing from the "communication experiment" collaboration thread that's in here now (not a participant in that though). Hell, you're trying to make us work. I'll look it over, maybe do something to the F minor/major thing.

I'd be ashamed to admit I could! I'm sorry, but I just haven't explored the depths of Lawrence Welk's repertoire enough to come up with something.
 
Well, when mshilarous eventually wins this competition I'll suspect that he wrote these "backgrounds" to go under the hottest solo's he's already got recorded. HA.
