Of course you wouldn't use mercury, please don't try to use strawman arguments, we are talking about solids, typically tonewoods.

PS What if the mercury was in its solid state, I know at -37.89 °F it would be hard to build such an instrument, but how would that compare to maple?

Answer the questions fuckwit. I'm sure If I called Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich which is Rhode Island Pete would be able to answer the questions. Wait thats you isn't it? Pete from Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich, Rhode Island knows less about musical acoustics than a kid of 11 years old.. Thats Pete of Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich, Rhode Island.

Pete of Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich of Rhode Island, is telling a university lecturer in musical acoustics how it works. Thats Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich, Rhode Island.

I just did. It's stupid. It's a stupid, pointless, silly thing to do. I'm not saying it's damaging or anything like that. It's just stupid. That's why it's stupid - because it's stupid.

Rubbish it magically removes all the gunk and funk from in your string windings and helps with intonation and string life. The powder itself just magically vanishes into thin air like it was bnever there. Pete from Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich Rhode Island says so so it must be true.

Can you share your insight on why body powder is bad for fretboards?

a) because it will look like you just came from changing a diaper
b) it will gum up the edges of the frets when mixed with body oil
c) It will cake inside the coiled strings and corrode them and dull your sound
d) If you are wearing dark clothing it will look like you just had a run with Cocaine Sally

Hey Pete of Victory Guitar Shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich of Rhode Island, I know I'm a little late to this party. But I do have a question about your approach: Care to comment on that "arthursilivia" alias troll account? You had that one lying in wait, huh?

Don't hold your breath. I'm not going to waste time on the subject. Instead, tell me about this maple top / sustain thing. I'm curious.

Not going to waste you time? That is exactly what you are doing. You cant answer because body powder on fretboards is not harmful in the least bit.

Pete of Victory Guitar shop on Victory Highway, West Greenwich Rhode Island. You have made claims that you can not be true and you have rubbished those that attempt to put you right. Your potential customers will read what has gone on here and in the past and thankfully they will know you to be what you are ... A hack, a liar, a troll and a fraud. You can stop this now in one of two ways.. STFU or go away. Your call..

Answer the questions

How does Increased mass produce less energy?
Does maple have increased mass?
Compared to what?
What are the mechanical and physical properties related to attack delay relationships in sound waves in timber?
How is this measured?
What is the common expression for phenomena of those measured results?
What other factors influence the attack delay relationship of sound waves in timber?
Describe the modulus that is associated with those expressions?
Show your workings?

Don't forget I teach this shit to people who want to learn...

You have no clue about musical acoustics. You have demonstrated this before.

I had to do a glue up in the shop.

a) because it will look like you just came from changing a diaper
b) it will gum up the edges of the frets when mixed with body oil
c) It will cake inside the coiled strings and corrode them and dull your sound
d) If you are wearing dark clothing it will look like you just had a run with Cocaine Sally

A. No it doesn't look like that at all
B. No gumming up because there is no oil
C.It does not get in the windings like other string treatments do.
D. No it will not, you do not cover your body with it

So again, no viable reason whatsoever. You guys are desperate aren't you.

People will clearly see right through your façade. I am looking forward to someone asking about this forum.

Seriously. If I had a student like this I'd put the outreach support staff in touch with him. Ban him for his own health and well being. He's clearly here to troll and is quite possibly in need of real life help. Some body take some action...

This type of user ruins the entire experience of this site.

Glue! Of course. That's why he needs powder! To keep his glued fingers from sticking to the strings!

Maybe that's what it is. He should switch to huffing paint. He could get his kicks and get some "work" done at the same time!
