Yeah the value of a re-finished clear with shitty wood underneath isn't gonna be as high as an original.

Why is this alias not banned yet?
You also are in no position to try to determine the value of this guitar. The value will be determined by my potential buyer and myself.

I find it funny how after so much silence, one person points out a particular grain characteristic of the maple (which after all has grain and patterns in it naturally, that is often the point for its beauty), now there is a whole lot of attention and criticism to what is actually now a very cool looking guitar. Kind of like chickens pecking at an imaginary wound on another chicken. I find the behavior here fascinating, kind of like observing children at a nursery school.
Well, not entirely true. As a potential buyer of guitars, he is in a position to determine value. Value is a perception, an opinion, and everyone has one of those.
I am in the position to value the guitar because I have eyes and a general understanding of how musical equipment is sold. A 68 Plexi that's been re-tolexed in tweed will not fetch as much as the same amp still wearing it's original shredded tolex. A 1964 Mosrite Ventures is more valuable with the checked and battered original paint than one that's been refinished. What you have going for you is that the LP you murdered is a new model and hasn't accrued any intrinsic value yet. It's not a vintage instrument. So yeah, you have that going for you, but you also enhanced it's ugliness. But hey, if you can sucker some idiot into overpaying for it, more power to you. Maybe next week you can't let us know how much you sold it for last week and act like you just did it.
But your opinion means nothing to me, you have to earn my respect by showing others some respect, and in that regard you have failed epically.

You're still here?
But the value that is the most important is the one determined by my buyer and myself, not an anonymous character on a forum. Okay, I know his name is Paul, but other than that do we really know who he is? Can we see a link to his website?

Like anyone seeks your respect.....![]()
No the value is what it would fetch on the open market. .
This is basic 5th grade business knowledge. The value is what someone will pay for it, not what the seller asks. Victim pete doesn't understand basic supply and demand. I've got a cracked intake manifold off of a 1965 GTO in my garage. I can ask $1000 for it. It's actual value is $0 because no one will buy it.
Actually it's value might be $5 as scrap metal.
I'll take it...![]()
.Yes I have. I don't know how to resize photos.
