left right channels?

hi.. newbie here.. i need to know if using guitar > pedal > soundcard in pc setup to record a song.. how do i record so that some part of the music comes out from the left channel or right channel? (rather than the normal both channel) hope you guys understood what i'm asking.. i'm using N track and mixcraft by the way

just use the track pan controls in n tracks once you have recorded the track.
you should use line in of sound card NOT mic in.
search under my name for lots of tips ive posted in last year.

i was just wondering whats pan for... pan is for adjusting the direction of the sound?

yes !! move pan to the left, and the track comes out the left speaker to the right...well you get the idea.
