Is anyone learned or is learning with the manual. I am doing it, I find it pretty hard. I did finish 100 pages. Look to me you need to know where you are going already.
it's almost ramdom informations one after the other. Example they are referring to parts, but show you what it is, later on.
Or they talk about cycle recording, while you have no idea how to do it. Then they are going to talk about it in all details in another chapter.

I use one note MS, and I sort the information: setup in one folder, operations in one, hotkey, and theory in the other.
It make it a lot more simple. Programmers seem to often have difficulty to put in a comprehensive way their software. They really did not do their homework. The manual of Cubase 7 is mote clear, by having one column instead of 2.

I mean is anyone did read it cover to cover slowly. Trying all the steps, and practicing it?

Reading the entire manual as a newbie will confuse the matter and make it look a lot more complicated than it is. Cubase is a powerful piece of software that can cater to a wide variety of workflows. Some people may use some features and others may not. For instance, in 15 years of using Cubase, I have never used the Logical Editor.

The best approach is to watch Youtube tutorials. They are probably the best source of information regarding where to start making recordings with Cubase.

Cheers :)

I agree, start with the basic stuff and go from there. Cubase has so much stuff that I too don't use it all.
