Learning Bass guitar Software

Hey guys. Have any of you come across software that will increase your bass guitar/6stringelectric skills dramatically.

Id love to know about programme and or cool websites that will help.

I bought my wife the emedia begginer and intermediate software, and it seems pretty cool. It has songs, and they play them slower, and faster, to let you play along. I also got her the Blues one, but it's a bit above her right now. Pretty decent lessons for $50-$60.
