What the heck??

I have been trying to export my 8 track recordings to .Wav files at 16 bit, 44.1

I have the markers in the right places, nothing is over -6 dBfs, and it even finally stopped giving me error messages.

Now when I try to burn it to a CD, it sounds like crap. One channel is cutting out... grr! Windows media first said that the tracks wouldn't fit (I was under 700 MB) and then did this weird conversion to each track one by one before burning.

I tried saving as stereo split instead of stereo interleaved today, but it comes up as two files!

What do I do? What is the basic way to burn a few songs to a CD?

THanks.

edit:
I think I recorded in 24 bit... / 44.1 I thought it was in 16, but this should not be a problem, right????

Mix down in the format you recorded. Also, make sure your automation is set right (that might be why certain things cut out) and make sure none of your tracks are record enabled.

solved

interconnect issues in cd player/ stereo setup.
