Guys, I have been driving myself insane with this issue. My computer has terrible latency issues that are so bad I'm not even able to record anything. The delay is in my monitors as well as when I record. Here is my current setup:
Input device: Line 6 Toneport UX2 (I thought it was probably this device not being compatible with Windows 7 but I also tested it out with a Guitar Rig Sessions I/O and I had the exact same issues)
Software: I've tried recording in FL Studio and in Adobe Audtion with the exact same results. So I don't think it has anything to do with that software. Also, I've updated all the latest drivers. I've tried ASIO4ALL, Toneports ASIO driver, Guitar Rig's ASIO driver and I still have the same issue.
I currently have a Gateway DX 4860 Desktop with an i5 processor and 8gb of ram running Windows 7 Home Premium and I've downloaded the latest audio drivers from gateway, the computer's just a few months old. I've googled the heck out of this issue and found nothing. Also, I've got my soundcard (Toneport UX2) is plugged into USB ports directly on the motherboard not front USBs just in case that was causing any delay.
Here is my biggest issue with the situation. I bought this computer as an upgrade. I've been recording for years using the Toneport on a Windows XP maching with FL Studio and Adobe Audition. I would still be using it except it has trouble playing back the audio once I load the rack up with effects. I was hoping to get more processing power out of the deal but now I can't even record any audio. IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! How are you guys recording with Windows 7?? What hardware devices are you using? Has anyone had this issue? If so how did you guys fix it? THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANY HELP!!!
