Latency causing problems...VST+delta44

Hi guys,
I'm using VST32 5.1 and MAudio's DELTA 44...I've got problems with latency when recording. Latency is about 1/4 of a second...I tried reducing the buffer size in delta control panel, but i get pops and clicks....as far as VST control panel goes, i've got ASIO direct monitoring unticked, coz if it's on i can't hear nothing at all...please help and suggest something...thnx

you probably just need to go to your audio setup menu and on the left click global instead of tape . The global setting will fix your problem .It isn't your card.
