What You Get
There's only one version of REAPER. One complete, solid, full-featured digital audio workstation.
Your one-user, full-use license includes up to two major version numbers' worth of REAPER's famous frequent upgrades.
A REAPER 2.0 license would have included over 100 free upgrades!
Purchasing a license now includes upgrades through REAPER 5.99.

I chose the Windows 32 bit, seems the VST like this version best.

Amazingly easy, even for a non software guy, to download this license, and after following the email directions, when I opened Reaper, it took the longest license code ever, without me doing hardly anything (very very good).

After reading Reaper is multi-pc / user friendly, within the same wireless router area, it sold me.

Now to go figure how to get the other PC upgraded and "legally online".
The other pc has a Tascam 1641 so will try that today too.

Reaper picked up the Line 6 UX2, once ASIO was selected. Very nice.
Now to go play with this addicting GearBox and PodFarm stuff...:D

Welcome to the Reaper club! Now take a few days and read the manual!

thanks.
the manual will be some good reading.

I think I've been using free DAW since 2007 or so used that Kristal which is great to start, and tried a few other entry/ test half-way working demo DAW's, (Reaper being one of them)

finally had a little dough and chose Reaper, it seemed to be thumbs up by the gang here.

Reaper isnt too complicated visually and liked that, imo.

Works with this old Line6-UX2, another plus...on Windows 7.

The manual is really good. I don't do anything too complicated with it, so I don't know a ton about it's features. But it's been great to me and whenever I do have questions the manual is super helpful.
