Sorry you guys, it looks like i keep spamming you with single questions in stead of placing them in 1 thread, but everytime you guys answer one it raises a next question, but i think im done for my set up with only one question remaining before buying the equipement.

The gear i selected was the Shure SM57 for guitar/bass the Shure SM58 for vocals and a drum mic set for drums, run through a Multimix 8 USB or Firewire 4 Channel mixer into my pc, First i wanted to use USB because i have a real crappy soundcart and USB doesn't use your pc's soundcart, but then i discovered that Firewire is much faster, but i haven't figured out wether the firewire version uses your soundcart or not, if you guys could tell me t his i know if i should buy the USB version or the Firewire.

Also i know the USB versions includes preamps, the firewire version is a little bit cheaper, but does it also includes the preamps???

Thanks for all you help!

Pre-amp are included at each XLR input. Firewire is generally better for audio throughput than USB. The Multimix would basically replace your sound card, you could disable it, ot even un-install it.
