I've been recording on my desktop for a while and now I need go mobile. I have a good laptop to use but the built-in sound card is so-so. Does anyone know if there are any PCMCIA sound cards available that will give me a better input line (like with by Gina card)?

Thanx...

Randy,
Edirol (Roland's PC company) has several new USB products that might meet your needs. I used to use their SC-55 card with a laptop several years ago. For recording, I only used the MIDI port. For my audio, I used a VS-880. For additional MIDI, I used an Opcode 8 channel MIDI patchbay which connected to my serial port. I switched over to a desktop once the Gina was released in '97. Here is the website for Edirol: www.edirol.com, it is the only place you can buy their products.
