Well as you can clearly tell, the pics say 'Nady' which means low-end, as it your budget. But it also means that unless they are discontinued Nady products you can get then from a variety of audio dealers.

Nady makes some of the better low-end wireless stuff.

But I never used the model you posted.

You could probably rent six really nice mics for that $$, and not worry about anything.

Thanks so much for the responses.

While checking into this I was warned off of the mics that transmit vhf and told the uhf are the only safe way to go because of the bandwiths on the low ends are crowded. Anyone have experience with that problem?

Semi-myth. It really depends on your area. Any decent maker will only sell you wireless you can use in your region. The bigger thing is how many units you can use in that area. Six wireless channels don't help if you can only use four of them. And whether they are diversity or non-diversity makes way more difference in terms of actual problems.

Another reason to rent- at the end of the year, a lot of stuff is likely to change in terms of what is available due to TV regs. Unless you want to spring on either frequency-agile units ($$) or potentially end up with a bunch of maybe worthless wireless units, I'd rent, if this is a one-time deal.

Go to the Shure website and check out their guide to selecting a wireless system. Good info.
