We want the protocol or version to remain the same so we can make accurate judgments.

What are the P3's limitations, compared to the K2600? That would tend to be a very revealing question.
The MSRP of $2,599 seems to indicate it being less powerful than the K2600, if money is any indication.
I would never call it the K3000, because this P3 is lacking several features you would expect on a 3000 level machine, such as a stellar monitor graphic interface, and ways of interacting with it, along with utilities that show what is going on where... while playing your program/setup. Much in every way, and all very doable.. is expected on a K3000.
