i used a KSM 27 on banjo once. it belonged to the banjo player and he seemed to be wanting me to use it......but it was NOT the right mic for the job. it scooped the mids right out and thinned out the banjo.
while that might be good for some banjo tracks, on this one the banjo was one of the primary instruments and i could've used a bit more heft. thankfully it had the "high end sparkle" which helped salvage the track.
in all it was a decent enough sounding mic, but i've got nicer sounding ones (and for less money). oh, and i didn't like the shockmount at ALL.
no experience with the 32 or 44.
