Hello Guys...Please, I want your honest advice about the KRK 5 G3 studio monitors, it is selling for 164 dollars a pair.

Is it a good pair of monitor for tracking and mixing?

NB: Genres are RnB, Jazz, Ballad, Dance, Classical and Soul.

Cheers

I assume this is for a used pair? Guitar Center typically has them at about $200 a pair for used.

The the 5" KRK Rokits are probably the most popular entry level monitors nowadays.

They sound great to my ears. I little bit biased in the low end, though, in my opinion.

5" speakers are ideal for small untreated spaces, since they wont give you too much low end. If you're going to mix in a treated room, an 8" version would be better, since they have extended low-frequencies response.

Anyway, there's a lot of other possible monitor choices for the same entry level price range.

I have the KRK 5" Rokits and they work well for me. I asked before I bought them about "what are the best entry level monitors" and I started all kinds of debate about it. That is an excellent price (I got mine new for about $270 for the pair) and I think they are decent monitors for entry level.

Anytime. I'm new to this whole thing too so I'm happy to pass along what I've learned along my, very short, journey.
