Excellent, like-new condition.

One owner, me. Purchased new in 1989.

First two years, rack-mounted in my very clean home studio. Used very little.

Since then, in storage in air conditioned environment.

This unit shows no signs of wear/use. You'll think it's brand new.

PRICE REDUCTION: $224 DELIVERED in the continental US.

WILL SHIP WORLDWIDE, BUT YOU PAY THE ACTUAL
TRANSPORT AND INSURANCE COSTS FOR OTHER THAN U.S. DELIVERY.

WoW! That was the unit to have back in the day.
Yeah. :D I had it back in the day, but didn't USE it back in the day.

Now I don't need it, but hope that somebody else does, here in these..."modern times". It's unique in that it really is like new, so I hate to see it just sitting unused. These days I work in the studio with virtual effects entirely, but somebody working/performing on stage would have a real use for it. Plus it's just "cool" to have it in your rack. :D

I'm also selling my 1980s TASCAM Portastudio 244 in excellent condition, also very lightly used. It's a bit of a dinosaur too, same 1980s vintage as SDD-2000, but buying it makes excellent sense IF:

1. You recorded on a 244 or 246 "back in the day" and then your machine died, leaving you with great material imprisoned on a bunch of cassette tapes that you can't play back. Imagine what you could do with those energetic, youthful tracks if you could just digitize them and then drop them into your digital audio workstation (DAW).

2. Or maybe you want to assemble an accurate 1980s demo studio.
