Need your help guys,

I have a Korg N364 keyboard which i'm want to connect to my laptop to record music. this is what i have tried, connected the phones sound cable from back of keyboard to the microphone hole in the laptop, when i press record you can see the sound waves moving up and down but i can't hear what i'm playing, even though after i press stop and click play, it plays what ever i pressed on the keyboard.

the programs that i have tried in recording is n-track and the normal windows recorder.

Don't use the headphone output, use the left line output on the back. Then either plug your headphones into the right line output and listen to just the one side of the recording.

Alternately, if the headphones and line output work simultaneously (sometimes plugging something into the headphone jack will black out all the other outputs), keep using the headphone output jack for recording into your computer, and plug your headphones into the L or R line output.
