Hi there,
I'm planning to buy a couple of used sound modules...just to add more stuff to my set up.
Korg MIR,Kurzweil AX1000
What do u think of these two.Should I go ahead and buy these ?
I'm using JV2080,Proteus 2000,Mo Phatt and many more Software synths.
Will these oldies add more flexability to my set up?
Thanx in advance

Always

The two instruments you're talking about are classics in my book... The M1 was the epitomy of keyboard playing in the mid to late 80s - you'll find a lot of your modern synths are based on units like the M1...

It won't sound quite like the 2080... But I still think the sounds are quite palletable....

Greyman,
I agree with Riverdog. The M1 is still a viable
piece of machinery. The Kurzweill I dont know it,
but I will assume its the rack version of the
K1000. Kurzweill makes great stuff; as I recall,
the K1000 was kind of a prosumer board, with its
built in speakers.

I play backup violin with big time rock groups
for a living. I am often amazed at what some of
the keyboard guys use STILL: M1s, Dx7s, Ensonig
Mirage, KX88, etc.

With your Jv2080 and your proteus, you have one
hell of a rig already, But if its cheap, an
M1 would be pretty cool to have lying around,
even if you just use it to fatten up some
pads. Cheers David

Thanks a lot Bry and David. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for ur experienced and sincere advice

YOUR best bet is DONT go buy them used from a Guitar Center or Sam Ash.
Take your but straight to Ebay and start bidding. I see those items there all the time.
