Folks, I'm just moving into the digital end of *home* recording
(16-track stand-alone DAW, no pc), and I'm wondering if anyone can steer me to some good monthly magazines for tips and product reviews. I've already ordeed "Home Recording" but know there must be some other such mags out there... nothing too complicated, but useful for semi-pros like us.

Thanks for any tips, gang.

J.

Well. EQ is too Techie for me............. Home Recording is too Simple for me...........

Recording (The magazine) seems to be a perfect mix!

Ditto!

Thanks for the fine suggestions, everyone! I'll find a copy of each and then get those subscriptions rolling.

Best,

Studio Sound (from the UK) is excellent....

Mix is good, but not geared towards DIY'ers...

Home Recording is just plain awful -- I've never seen so much misinformation in a publication.

Recording and EQ are both pretty good -- certainly have a lot more practical info for the DIY crowd.

We can't get Tape OP in Canada (without paying for it), but I've heard it's good........

SOS is more techno/synth-oriented, as is Electronic Musician - both have pretty good info if you're into electronica.

Also HUSTLER & PLAYBOY every now and then provide articles
on recording.......................................porn!;)
