Knockoff Audio Technica Mic?

About 15 years ago I purchased a mic from the GC in Arlington, Tx. The model number of the mic is PR1000-HE. It's a hypercardiod dynamic, and at the time it cost just a tic more than a SM-57 or SM-58. I've used it successfully as a vocal stage mic.

I can find no trace of this model number on A-T's web site, or anywhere else. I can't help but wonder if it's a Chinese knockoff, one of those GC "specials."

Any thoughts?

Hmmmm, nobody.

I looked in the box last night and it has a warranty card & spec sheet - just what you'd expect to find.

I'm wondering if it's an early version of their ATMXXX series mics.
