Hey Adam! I am a fan of TMBG and I really like KMSOG, I think you have done well at recreating the feel of TMBG while still making it your own! Well done on the vocals. I think you nailed the emotion in the song. Thanks for posting this!

-Nick
Thanks loads for saying so. TMBG has to be my all time favorite group.
I am glad I was able to not F up their song.

-Adam.

Nice job :) Perfect feel for a TMBG cover! I don't really have anything constructive thoughts in terms of the mix, but just thought I'd let you know i enjoyed it.

I don't know who TMBG is...but

I like the feel of the song. The vocals seem like they could come up a little, but I'm listening on crap computer speakers at work.

Good job.

Love the song. Vocals sound a little spitty. Nice clean EP. As always, great stuff.

Thank you very much.

TMBG stands for They Might Be Giants. I recommend you check them out. Listen to their last album, The Else. Thanks for the comment.

I have never heard the term spitty before, but it makes sense. It does. Hmm. BTW, what do you mean "Nice Clean EP"? Well, thanks for the comment.

were you singing in a very small tunnel?

no I didn't think you were reverb is very unnatural sounding and has a lot to do with the sound of your vocals and if you were monitoring that reverb the preformance as well. Invest in a good verb or at the very least go read how to use a stereo reverb. Reverb is one of those things where people go yea I know what I'm doing it's simple and it's anything but simple. When I use reverb on a main vocal there are times I actully have a dual 4 band eq on the reverb going into an aux track so I can eq just the reverb and how much of a wet signal is blending in. Reverb can be quite tricky to get right. Best thing to do is get a small recorder/or laptop setup where you can add a vocal mic and go record in some very wet sounding places bathrooms gyms med size rooms halls and listen to what things sound like on a natural level. Then you will have a way better idea going in how you want your voice to sound and how much reverb is to much. This also goes with amp modlers if you already know what a good miced amp tone sounds like it's a lot easier to mimic a guitar tone then it is to try and create it from scratch.

Bit of sibilance going on which can be tamed...no biggee. I'm not familiar with the orig so can't compare - this one is nice and tight - good job. I'm a reverb junkie so you won't hear me complaining about it.....:D

Very well sung, nice ambience.
Good vocal harmonies. I like the reverb, makes it sound like you were in a club very late after closing time, when everybody's gone away, just playing around with your piano....
nice!

Nice clean electric piano. It's not a distorting, farting Rhodes sound, and it's not awash in tremolo or reverb. It's just nice.

Adam, you rock for not gilding the lily.

I like the slapback reverb on the vox. I'd love to hear what a nice ribbon would do for your voice.
