Hey y'all,

This is a sound-alike recording of the solo section in this tune. I'd really like any comments you have regarding the quality, because this is going on a companion CD in an instructional book for Hal Leonard (along with literally 95 other tracks I've recorded!). I didn't go crazy and include everything in there (because there's a bunch of stuff going on!), but I did try to capture most of it accurately.

Please let me know if you hear any mixing/mastering issues, and anything else you have to comment on is much appreciated. :)

Thanks!

Only taht when the clavinet (?) comes in it's pretty loud - or at least stands out.
Otherwise - nicely done.

Thanks for the listen and the advice. I think you're probably right about the clav. :)

Excellent!

As a Carlton´s fan (since the 80´s) what I can say is that everything is fine; tone, playing...
Congrats!

Just curious:how did you recorded (amp/or simulator, guitar, pickups, these things...)

Tks

Ciro

Hi Ciro,

Thanks for the compliment! I played my Hagstrom Swede on that solo and went direct running an Amplitube plug-in. I always prefer to go with live amps if I can, but I was on the clock with this job, so I took the quick, dirty method. :) I will say though that those amp simulators are getting better all the time!
