do yourself a favor, and research the Korg Karma. it has the same sounds as the triton and trinity (although these sounds are more "warm" or "oily" -- which happens to be all the rage right now)
i wouldnt know how good the sequencer is, i use the MPC.
email me if you have any questions about this board
there IS a motif rack to whoever wished for it....
no one mentioned EMU keyboards (mo phatt, proteus, vintage pro)... supposed to have some fresh sounds... no sequencer or sampler, just the 61 keys and sounds. I think they're around $600. And they have expansion slots so you can buy roms of the other soundsets, and are supposedly really tweakable.
about Yamaha sequencers... the one on the RS-7000 seems like it takes a minute to get used to, but after that is laid out really nice. I took a look at one at a store and had to have the salesman re-explain how it worked to me but figured it out after that.
