Keyboard workstations

What do you call the fixture, or rack that holds the keyboard, speakers, CPU, mixers and all of the other stuff?

I have Googled using "keyboard workstations", "audio workstattions", etc and all I get are pages for actual keyboards and computers.

I am looking for some form of fixture, table, rack system upon which to place my keyboard and then place all of my other sound hardware. I want a station that is adjustable so that I can put the keyboard at playing height and yet have space to put my compuer keyboard and mouse, say, on the side and then have the monitor speakers up at ear level, etc...

What do you call these things? And, who sells them?

Nexxus makes various studio furniture and Quick Lock makes various tubular systems.

I would suggest you also look at various computer desks. It seems the stuff designed as studio furniture comes with an inflated price tag. You can often find computer desks at places like Office Depot, etc for 1/2 the price of "studio furniture". While computer desks dont have "rack spaces" they may allow table top space for things like keyboards with elavated areas for video monitors and shielded speakers.

I bough a three section corner computer work desk (with a free file cabinet) from Office Max on sale for $140 - I spent about $25 for wood and a little work to build two "under desk 18 space racks) a total of $165 for a very functional work space. A "studio desk" that did almost the same thing would have been about $1200.

Esoteric words, names, views, often call for lots of pezzutos to buy them.

Some good advice here in the responses. Check other furniture offers, and Musician's Friend furniture. Many sites to look at and SAVE pezzutos aplenty.
