What are the advantages/disadvantages between these two options:
1. A featureless 88 key midi controller (such as the Fatar Studiologic SL-990 PRO) and a small synth with loads of controls (such as the Novation X-Station 25). I would use the Studiologic for playing the keys and whatnot and use the Novation for controlling everything.
2. A fully featured, 88 key midi controller (such as the CME VX8).
