Hello, my fiance' is looking for a keyboard to mess around on. I used to own a Yamaha DJX; I liked it but sold it years ago. I wouldn't mind buying it again, but can't help thinking there is something better for the price.

I am wondering what some suggestions are for the 'best' keyoard under $200.00. I already have a MIDI controller; and we are looking for something with keys that feel 'decent'.

Thanx

Ok, so I'm not the most knowledgable about keyboards, oh yeah and we don't have much money. Sorry if this offends you in some way. Sheesh!

Thanx for the heads up on that Yamaha, looks to be about what we're looking for. Does Roland make a low-end keyboard?

All Roland keyboards are "Low-End" :D

No I'm kidding!!!

JUno-D is their new low-end.

In the past I have seen new Roland keyboards advertised in the $300-$400 range...with "home-keyboard" feature descriptions (like having 100 "styles")...I did a quick search on Musician's Friend and could only find Roland "arranger" keyboards for $500 and up...they might have experimented with putting out something to compete in the starter "home-keyboard" market (Yamaha PSR/Casio) in the past and then abandoned it....out of curiosity I am going to look for the Roland website and see what I can find.

I found this... E-100

I looked on several online sites and cannot find one of these for sale, or find a list price.....this is probably still way over the $200 budget mentioned...still one might possible find one of these (or something similar by Roland) on ebay for cheap.
