HUH,

I didn't realise that listening to tunes on ACIDplanet was so hard.
I upload in 64k wma and rm formats for easy streaming, and also Mp3 128k formats for those that wanna download.

I thought that most musicians were already signed up to ACIDplanet anyways (which only takes about 15-30 seconds if not)....and even with an old-fashioned dial up connection, the 64k wma plays real easy.

What's the BIG dilemma??? :)

Just curious,

KEV

yo Kev, it didn't play for me.. I hit play and nothing happened..

Hi OZZFEST,

Well, the ACID folks don't seem to be having any probs, it plays just fine here, and I've had quite a few revies in the past hour or so.....maybe it's your end :)

Give it another try...

cheers,

KEV

Damn Kev, great song/sound there bub! As I read the stories that accompany your songs. TRAVEL MUCH? Jeez dude, I'm lucky to put 100 miles a week in my car and it appears you been around the globe a thousand times. Drums are fake as hell but you got what you had to get from them. I'm gonna check out your other stuff, although some of this type of music ain't my bag baby. Great composing and musicianship!

BTW, WMA files play flawlessly in Windows Media Player 7 for all the WinAmp people.

It wouldnt play for me.....wanted me to sign up for acidplanet.com and I have absolutley no desire to do that.......as a matter of fact I dont know any one personally that is a member of acidplanet.

I dont use a computer to record so the acid programs are of no interest to me at this point.

You would probably get a lot more hits of you signed up at Nowhereradio.com .....most everyone that posts here is a member there.

HI Kramer,

Thanks for the attempt :)

Actually, I don't know of ANY musicians TODAY that do NOT use a computer in some respects when recording. Many high-tech studios these dayz are incorporating the Pro Tools foundation in some form or another, and all the musicians that I know are using CUBASE VST or SX, ACID Pro, Sound Forge 6.0, etc. to record/create and/or mix their music projects.

I guess old habits die hard - eh:)

I suppose it's a bit like the old addage that new digital technology doesn't sound as good as the old 60's & 70's "TUBE" amps, well it may not sound exactly the SAME, but in many cases it sounds way better...

New is good IMHO :)

Cheers,

KEV

Well,I do record digitally but just not with a computer.;)I use a Fostex VF-16.

I do realize that my computer can be used to master and edit my mixes though......Im looking into some editing software right now.

I guess old habits do die hard.:)

I've listened to your stuff before, and thought there were some good elements in your songs....and a couple of issues that were ...just ok

this song...the synth stuff is really great. I like it a lot, and it is right up my alley of what I like also. The clear gtr playing, however is kinda lacking. The playing is kinda stiff and lacks some good feel to it. It is also a bit biting sounding, and the runs don't seem smooth when you play them. The intro was getting a bit long, until things kick in around the 3 min mark. Then the tune takes off, including a MUCH better performance on guitar. Maybe you are just happier with overdriven sounds. ...or more comfortable. The crunch chords...I like their sound, and some good note choices on the leads. Some nice stereo spreads here and there with the percussion too.

Now...after listening for 5 mins...I am wondering how this is all supposed to "connect" together...or is it just an A-->B form kinda song...synthy stuff at the beginning, and jamming soloing at the end? I suppose that is ok, but I think some song formatting would bump your stuff up tremendously. Or...some playing that would musically knock your socks off. This is good, but compared to the killer guitar instrumentals, you need something to put you in their ranks to survive...if that is important or not...but I just use it as a comparision. Otherwise, it is just jamming....to a {smallish} degree. Watch the fade at the end too...pretty abrupt.
