kawai k-1 II synth keyboard..... what's this worth?????

HI, I have a chance to buy one of these units a kawai k-1II.
the unit had been giged heavily and has a dud key. I just need a keyboard for home recording.
the guy selling it wants $200 bucks for it, is this a good price???

when was this keyboard made??? and is there a good website for info on the kawai k-1II?

Hmm....

Replacement parts may be difficult to come by for this little puppy... I had the Rack version for a number of years... If my memory is correct, the unit came out between '89 and '92...

If it's been gigged heavily I'm not sure I'd go for it... There's lots of other units out there... 200.00 Sounds about right for that unit, though...

Kawai K1-II

Seems like I bought my Kawai K1-II around '88-'90...I forgot now what I paid for it...I still have it and use it in my project studio, though I use it strictly as a MIDI source into my SBLive for MIDI. There is an auction for one on eBay right now if you're interested...I believe it expires in about 5 days. The bid is at $100 right now and the auction ID is "Item #401066028". Hope this helps...
