Karaoke in cubase

Guys i am little new to all this but can u guys help me in making backing tracks or karaoke of songs. First of all i am not talking about reducing the vocals like some softwares do. I am talking about creating original backing tracks which are of good quality. So any help will be appreciated ..:):)
 
If it's for your own use, you can download midi versions of lots of songs and assign the instruments yourself.
 
but what do u mean by record a song without vocals ?? i dont want to download midi karaoke but i want to know how to actually make them !!:):)
 
When you say 'original', do you mean you want to write music? Or do you just mean that you want to record the backing tracks for existing songs yourself?

In the case of the former, what you are talking about is writing music, and then recording it. Without vocals. Are you asking us to tell you how to write music? Or do you already have stuff written that you want to know how to record?

In the case of the latter, you are talking recording a cover version of a song, without the vocals. In which case, are you just basically asking how to record. Without vocals.

Do you play an instrument? What is the level of your musical knowledge?
 
Once again, unless we just understand you wrong, your question seems like if you were asking "how do I build a scyscraper?". You just can't expect to have a really helpful answer for that because it would take 1000 pages to answer (without going to details :p ).

1) Purchase all the instruments the songs has
2) Learn to play the song with all of those
3) Pick an instrument
4) Set up mics
5) Hit record
6) Play the song
7) Repeat 3-6 as long as you got instruments left
8) Mix the recorded tracks
9) Press play and sing along! :)

Or just go to a music store and buy a huge pile of karaoke dvd:s. Costs 50 times less, takes 5000 times less time and is 5000000^50 times easier.

The general overview: Use 1 or more mics, and record your instruments into their own tracks. Then mix your tracks. If you accidentally record the singer, you can just mute his track(s).

Your question is kinda broad, and we don't know what your knowledge base currently is. Do you need to know what tracks are? Do you need to konw what kind of gear to buy? How to hook it up? How to record tracks? How to mix?
