I've tried this several times; gave up and then went back to it. Still no luck. The interface looks pretty cool, so I keep trying.

I D/L'ed the free demo, installed it and get past the recording levels setup. The output somehow gets shuttled to Gina 3/4 output instead of my normal Gina 1/2 monitor setup. I stop the recording, hit rewind and then play and get an "error opening wave device" message. I ran the test they asked me to in the error message and it shows a successful result. What's going on?

What is listed when you go to "Select Wave Devices" in the Preferences?

Wave Output Devices: 1 Gina 1/2 Analog Playback;
Wave Input Devices: 1 Gina 1/2 Analog Record.
Which is why I was surprised at the presence of a monitor signal at Gina 3/4, with none at Gina 1/2.
Oh yeah- the recordings I made with n-track
DO play back (on Gina 1/2) when imported into Cool Edit, but they're mono .wav files.

Well, I'm assuming you've had various levels of success in other programs, correct? And in Windows' device setup? (Just to make sure it's not an IRQ conflict, or something)

Sure- Power Tracks Pro; Cool Edit; Vegas Pro
and CW all play back, although CW is too unstable to be of use for audio.

Well, I wish I could help you. I don't have a Gina, let alone two, so I really can't be too detailed with my troubleshooting ... This could always be "just one of those things", which is a phrase I've learned from working with computers for so many years. If you had the exact same setup, same version of the software (do you have version 2?), same cards and everything, it'd probably work. :) Maybe the FAQ mentions something about it. Or, at the worst, you could always contact the author. :)
