Well we just bought a rode NTK awhile ago and got it home only to find out the special 7 pin cable was busted so back to the store it went to get fixed. But the repair man messed up doing the repair and actuly broke it rendering it useless. So while they ordered a new cable frome Australia they loaned us a Apex 450 because it was the only othere tube mic in the store. Well it sounds pretty good for costing half as much, not to mention it comes with a big case and shock mount, which rode dosn't offer with the NTK. I do like the sound of the rode better but this Apex aint bad for the money. Might just have to make it the next purchase.
