Well considering its a digital mixer, its unlikely to be analog mixer!
The 02R is very versatile. How it functions depends on what I/O cards you have installed and how you set it up.
One of the studios I've worked in with an 02R has two ADAT cards installed feeding into an RME soundcard in their DAW. The two-track output from the computer (mixed ITB) is then routed back through the mixer to monitors. Monitor mixes are done with the 02R and sent via auxes. However before that studio upgraded to a DAW, the 02R was used along with some Alesis ADAT machines as an inline mixer and all mixing was done on the desk.
