ok i have a iMac and a external hd and been using garage band but its so ghetto the way im doing it. im just using an adapter from the mic input to guitar jack for bass and guitar. but i am going thru the di in my amps first to kinda help but the bass still sounds like sh@t. i have been using my keyboard(actual typing keyboard) to do drums and it is just horrible.

ok so this is were I come to you. i think i want the new logic. im torn between that and Protools. but i dont know what interface to get. right now im focusing on guitar and bass(both electric and acoustic). i would like a 8 track one so i can record drums the "right way" but if i get a set it will prob be electic for now, which in my thought there would only be one cord to plug in right?

another wonder is what mic should i get for recording acoustic guitar. and what else you would recommend.

and im so new at this so take it easy on me thanks in advance

Probably 2 as most appear to be stereo. (See this link http://www.sweetwater.com/c650--Electronic_Drum_Kits/low2high)

This mic is a great starter mic and does a VERY VERY nice job on vocals and acoustic instruments http://www.wwbw.com/CAD-M9-Tube-Lar...-5B81-DE11-9973-0019B9C2BEFD&mr:referralID=NA
and what else you would recommend?
